DETROIT - The historic Gem & Century Theatres announce New Year’s Eve dinner and show packages. Enjoy one of four performances, dinner and a high-energy New Year’s Eve afterglow with live band, dancing and champagne toast at midnight – all at the sparkling Gem!
Guests may choose tickets to either performance of Plaid Tidings, a special holiday sequel to the critically acclaimed Forever Plaid playing the Gem, at 3 or 9 p.m., or Sister’s Christmas Catechism, which plays the Century at 3:30 and 9:30 p.m. Dinner immediately follows the afternoon performances and precedes the evening shows. Dancing, live music and the New Year’s Eve afterglow begins after the 9:00 p.m. performance.

Chicken Wellington Appetizer
3 oz. chicken breast lightly seasoned, pan seared and topped with sauteed spinach and shiitake mushrooms, wrapped in puff pastry and presented in a Dijon cream sauce.
Tuscan Salad
Mixed greens with tomato, green pepper, cucumber, chic peas and hard-boiled egg served with vinaigrette on the side.
Dinner Duo of Filet Mignon and Parmesan Crusted Halibut Entree
Parmesan Crusted Halibut rubbed with Dijon and crusted with Parmesan, herbs and crispy fried onions paired with a Prime Filet Mignon topped with a mushroom sauce. Presented with cheddar scallion mashed potatoes and a medley of broccollini and asparagus.
Chocolate Decadence Dessert
A flour-less chocolate torte layered with chocolate ganache and garnished with fresh raspberries, in a raspberry coulis.
*Alcohol and soft drinks are not included in dinner package price. Dinner will not be sold separately from the show.
