Tickets on Sale Now for Detroit’s Largest, Longest-Running New Year’s Eve Celebration

For the tenth-consecutive year, The Social Connection announces The Resolution Ball, the organization’s largest and longest-running New Year’s celebration, which is designed for the most the metro-area’s most exclusive partygoers. The Resolution Ball will take place at 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 31, 2010 at the historic Fillmore Theatre in Detroit.

“The Social Connection is thrilled to announce the tenth anniversary of our biggest New Year’s Eve celebration, The Resolution Ball,” says Regina Stocco, president and CEO of The Social Connection. “We sell out every year, but this year’s party for 1,600 is sure to sell out fast!”

“We set out to host Detroit’s most high-energy and stimulating party experience for our vibrant, young professionals and we think we’ve accomplished this with 10 years of perfecting the event. We’ve thought of everything by providing a gorgeous, hip location, wild entertainment and the best food and drinks anywhere," says Stocco. The Resolution Ball is the best New Year’s Eve option for those who want an exhilarating New Year’s Eve experience. The price of admission for all guests will include access to nine bars and the Midnight Blowout, which features a Korbel countdown champagne toast, party favors and balloon drop, confetti storm, and live-feed broadcast on six huge screens of the ball drop from Times Square. After the clock strikes 12:00 a.m., guests may indulge in a midnight buffet, including pizza, sliders, Coney’s, as well as, coffee service and gourmet chocolates.

On the main stage DJ Tommy Holiday spins the latest house tunes, keeping guests moving until 4 a.m. Performances by Detroit Flyhouse provide a Las-Vegas style show that will include high-wire aerialists, acrobats, fire performers, and strolling illusionists will titillate partygoers. Need to take a breather? Step next door and groove to the Jazz and Blues sounds of Carey Heller.

The $100 VIP patron will arrive at 8 p.m. and be treated to coat check, both main floor and special seating area with exclusive mezzanine access, champagne fountain reception and lavish hors d’oeuvres, Midnight Blowout, hearty midnight buffet, Korbel champagne toast, party favors and a seven-hour premium bar. Guests may reserve VIP Skyboxes that include champagne bottle service for an additional charge.

Festivities begin at 9:30 p.m. at the $65 price point, which includes a five-hour premium bar package, champagne reception, hearty buffet, Midnight Blowout, Korbel champagne toast and party favors.

For those who want to get the party started after 10:30 p.m., a $30 ticket package is available with premium cash bar, hearty buffet, Midnight Blowout, including Korbel champagne toast and party favors.

All guests can celebrate safely and in-style with special rate hotel room options available at both the Marriott Renaissance Center and the Holiday Inn Express, both with complimentary private shuttles running from 7:30 p.m.-4 a.m.
