Fifth Wheel St. launches RV Tow Check 2.1 App

Dave Gray, founder of Crestview, Fla.-based Fifth Wheel St., released the RV Tow Check 2.1 app for recreational vehicle (RV) owners. This newest release at http://RVtowCheck.com/ gives users an improved interactive feature that allows them to view instructions on the app's calculator page, right where they need it most.

RV Tow Check's newest enhancement allows users to instantly view the instructions at each input box on the calculator page by hovering over or tapping on the instruction button. This streamlined approached makes it effortless for the user to read an input instruction without reading another page. The original instruction page has been replaced with a glossary page and the FAQ page has expanded.

RV Tow Check is currently the only mobile friendly app that supports all manufacturers' towing safety and warranty warnings by calculating realistic vehicle towing capacity. "Most vehicle owner's manuals have the required information, but can be difficult to comprehend, and most, if not all, owner's manuals do not have adequate math formulas illustrated to calculate realistic towing capacity," Gray said.

Gray said that the minimum requirement for RV Tow Check requires three inputs by the buyer. They are gross combination weight rating (GCWR), gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) and the gross vehicle weight (GVW). The user has the option to select a fifth wheel hitch if it's not already installed in the truck. Users may include any additional unscaled weight for cargo and additional passenger weight. "The app does not assume everyone weighs 150 pounds, like the manufacturers do," he added.

"There are two outputs shown, one for the fifth wheel towing combination and the other for the conventional towing combination," said Gray. RV Tow Check is the first app that displays maximum towing capacity for both fifth wheel and conventional RV classifications simultaneously, and provides instant results when selecting various pin or tongue weight percentages. "With the three minimally required user inputs and the selection of the highest range of pin and tongue percentages, buyers can be confident that the RV purchase is unlikely to exceed the tow vehicle's weight safety ratings," Gray added.

Located at FifthWheelSt.com, Gray said it is one of the fastest growing self-help RV safety websites. It was founded in April 2011 to promote towing safety by providing tow ratings, simplified weighing worksheets, web-based and mobile app calculators as well as important articles, videos and safety information to assist all who tow fifth wheel, gooseneck and conventional trailers.
