National RV Trade Show: Flagstaff Superlite 23FBDS

Editor's note: Another post from the National RV trade Show.

Flagstaff Superlite 23FBDS
A new double-slide floorplan for the Forest River Flagstaff Superlite travel trailers line was turning heads at the Louisville show. Found on the 23FBDS model, the opposing slides, one housing the kitchen galley and the other a dinette, plus the unit’s Murpy bed/sofa feature serve to create a wide open living space in a length coming in at about 24 feet.

The 23FBDS, the second-generation of the 23FBS, will appeal to couples wanting ease of use and expanse of space, Brett Doberenz of Forest River told me.

“A lot of the customers who are empty-nesters who had the bunkhouses and then went and got the fifth-wheel,” he said. “Well, now it’s too much to handle and they want to downsize. This is a piece that’s going to give them a lighter weight, shorter alternative but still has a lot of room inside.”

Available with an Emerald package upgrade, the dry weight comes in at about 5,100 pounds and the MSRP for the 23FBDS is in the mid $20,000s.
