VIDEO: Indigo Bluffs RV Resort

I came across a new-to-me campground, Indigo Bluffs, located in Empire, Michigan. Empire is in the shadow of Sleeping Bear Dunes in Michigan's northwest Lower Peninsula.

Gary Becker, president of Indigo Bluffs, said the resort is actually a new name for a campground that has been around for years (I wish I could remember the name of it).

He bought the park a few years ago, spent a year studying and listening and decided that high-end motor homes could exist alongside pop-up campers. Actually, what he really said was the park's original business plan of being an ownership park was fine, but he added a rental campground to the facility.

So there's Indigo Bluffs Motorcoach Resort for the owners and Indigo Bluffs RV Park for the renters.

According to camper reviews on RVParkReviews.com, the ownership vs. rental campgrounds get along quite nicely. You should take the time to click the link and read the reviews - all campground owners should be so lucky to have such outstanding word-of-mouth.

While you're at it, do yourself a favor and click on over to the Indigo Bluffs website. It's easily one of the snazziest campground websites I have ever come across. It's so nice that I "appropriated" some of the photos from it for the video.
