Just came across this very useful website: www.rvdumps.com.
rvdumps.com is a searchable database of free (or nearly free) dump stations across the United States. When you click on a state, then each dump station is listed by both its highway location and by city location. Users can add dump stations they know of, or can add comments about dump stations already listed. You have to create an account, but at least it's free.
For anyone who's waited an hour or more for the state park dump station, this website is very handy indeed.
