RV product: Plug Saver is a 7-way plug cover

Recently, Rebecca Hack of GR Innovations LLC, reached out to me with a new product that she thought we'd be interested in. It's called the Plug Saver, and it's a 7-way plug cover for a trailer harness.

I've had to reassemble the male end of my camper's plug several times over the years, mostly due to the metal being bent so that it doesn't achieve a solid connection to the female end on our tow vehicle. At the same time, I've noticed some corrosion taking place, which I've had to file away using sandpaper.

At 16 years old, the plug is definitely showing signs of wear and tear.

I wish I would have had the Plug Saver all that time.

I have to say, I agree with her. It seems solid and and ready to do the job for years to come. Rebecca recommends using dielectric grease on the inside to keep out moisture. It is perfect for winterizing. I winterized my camper two weekends ago — including two new tires and repacking the wheel bearings — so I went back and attached the Plug Saver to the end of the plug.
