J. Huston Tavern to feature “Christmas with Dickens” dinner on Dec. 7

Guests at Arrow Rock State Historic Site are invited to enjoy a six-course meal based on the book “Christmas with Dickens,” by Cedric Dickens. The dining event will be held at J. Huston Tavern at Arrow Rock State Historic Site at 6 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 7. The cost is $60 per person and reservations are required.

The evening will be centered on an 1870s English Christmas dinner and feature readings from “A Christmas Carol.” Guests will be encouraged to join in singing carols and playing games that are included in Dickens’ writings. Guests who would like to don period attire for the evening are welcome to do so.

The J. Huston Tavern at Arrow Rock State Historic Site is located at 305 Main St. just off Highway 41, in the village of Arrow Rock.
